Patricia Kay Leach

Patricia Kay Leach, 81, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born February 13, 1943, in Seaside, Oregon. Patricia was born to Estalene and Edwin Grabowski, but raised by Estalene (Jerri) and Earl Purinton. Patricia grew up in southern Oregon and after graduating from Rogue River High School, she met and married Richard Leach, a Navy Chief. They were married for 48 years. She had a career in Cosmetology as a Hair Stylist. Patricia worked at Sassy Lady Salon, D’orr Hair Design, Attractions Hair Studio, Bobbie’s Hair Salon, Touch of Venus, and others. Family was the center of Pat’s world and she treasured each one of us tremendously! She always made sure to keep her home open to her children and grandchildren, who regularly spent time there. She had a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome and loved whether family, friend, or stranger. Pat made many dear friends with customers and co-workers over her 40-year career. She said many times that she “never had a bad day at work” because she loved and adored the people! She had a passion for spending time gardening. She found so much joy and peace watching and listening to the birds play and sing. She could name every bird and every plant in her backyard too! Pat’s life was rooted in her special relationship with Jesus. Her faith and positivity provided her with the strength and peace to have true joy every day of her life. His Light clearly shined through her in such a beautiful way. She was cherished by so many! Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Leach; son, David Leach and wife, Kimberly Leach; parents, Estalene (Jerri) Purinton, Edwin Grabowski; and nephew, Ricky Schmidt. Patricia is survived by daughter, Jennifer Williams and son-in-law, Jason Williams, including, Carol and Kelly Williams; siblings, Delores Richardson, Robert Grabowski, and Charlene Schmidt; grandchildren, Ashley LaMothe and husband, Stephan LaMothe, Amanda Leach, Brennan Thompson, Kaylen Thompson and Tanner Williams; great grandchildren, Adelynn LaMothe, Clara LaMothe, Bryson Nall, Leah Leach, Eden LaMothe and numerous loved nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Visitation will be one hour prior at 12:00 PM. Reverend Steve Zepp will be officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida.
