Obituary for William Carl Neal, Jr.
William C. Neal, “Bill Jr.” “Coach Bill”, 65, of Cantonment passed away on December 23, 2020. Bill Jr. graduated from Tate High School in 1973 where he excelled in both football and track and field. While at Tate he met the sweetest and cutest girl he ever knew and the love of his life, Shelia P. Neal. Before the two wed on December 18, 1982, he served in the United States Army. His time in the service led him to his dream career as a case manager for the Veterans Affairs office where he assisted his fellow veterans in finding career opportunities. In addition to his career, he influenced numerous area youth as “Coach Bill” passing along his knowledge in football, baseball, track and field. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. Above all, Bill Jr. exemplified strength, dependability, humor and love for his family & friends. William C. Neal is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister and uncles. William C. Neal is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Shelia (Riley) Neal; his son, Scott Neal married to Kersty; his aunts, Ruth Neal and Mary Neal; his cousin Randy Neal; his closest friends Steve Kennedy and James Wiggins; along with many other special family and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 1PM, on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Faith Chapel North with Pastor Jake Carpenter officiating. Inurnment services following in Cottage Hill Cemetery The family will receive friends at 12nnon prior to services. In lieu of flowers, the family would rather donations made to the Mayo Clinic Liver Transplant Program in memory of William C.
