Mary Sue Martine

Mary Sue Martine, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24th, 2016. Mary was born on June 10, 1932, in Kansas City, MO to Lewis and Ruby Belcher. She was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church since 2006 and a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston, Arkansas for over 30 years prior to moving to Florida. Mary worked as a beautician and seamstress. In her spare time, Mary loved camping, sewing, crafting, going to yard sales, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren. She volunteered in her church nursery, Vacation Bible School, WMU, Bereavement Team and was also a Sunday School teacher for several years. She loved the Lord, her husband, Joe, and her family and had many dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 44 years Joseph A. Martine, Sr.; her sister, Betty Hahn; and her brother, Lewis Belcher, Jr. Mary leaves behind her daughter, Becky Shinn (Mike) of Pensacola, FL; her son, Joseph A. Martine, Jr. (Kathy) of Fishers, IN; her grandchildren, Wendi Westmoreland (Alan) of Cantonment, FL; Mark Shinn of Pensacola, FL; Victoria Moore (Justin) of Greenwood, IN; Carrie Martine of Fishers, IN; and Leah Martine of Pensacola, FL; and great grandchildren, Kinsie Westmoreland and Ryleigh Westmoreland of Cantonment, FL; Mark Shinn, Jr., of Silverthorne, CO; Katie Autumn Martine, Irris Michelle Moore, Charles Moore, and Kristoff Moore of Greenwood, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM and service on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Faith Chapel North, 1000 Hwy 29S, Cantonment, FL, with Pastor Jim Locke officiating. The family requests donations to be made in Mary's memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church Mission Fund, 800 E. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL, or to Gideon International for the purchase of Bibles. Mary's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Azalea Trace and Covenant Hospice for the care and support they offered to Mary and her family.
