In Loving Memory of Our Mother, Joyce Lind January 7, 1946 – July 1, 2025 With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Joyce Lind, who died in her sleep on July 1, 2025, at the age of 79. She was at home, surrounded by her family and amazing nurse, Heather — exactly where she wanted to be — after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Our mother was more than the center of our family — she was the light, the warmth, and the steady hand behind everything good in our lives. She lived with quiet strength, endless compassion, and a heart that gave more than it ever asked for in return. Even in her final days, she showed us how to live — with grace, patience, and unshakable love. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark Henderson; mother, Bertha Waldroup; sister, Carolyn Boyett; brother, Steve Lind, granddaughter, Sarah Thibodeaux, and great grandson, Esadowa Posey. Joyce is survived by Mark Henderson’s daughter, Ashley (Ducky) Thibodeaux; granddaughter, Nicky Henderson; son, Mike (Truddy) Henderson; son, Michael Carl Henderson; grandson, Michael Henderson, Jr.; grandson, Marcus Henderson; grandson, Trent Cooley; daughter, Sandra Bell; daughter, Karie Pennise; granddaughter, Caisi Pennise; grandson, Hayden Bell; daughter, Lisa Henderson; granddaughter, Haley Githens; son, Scott (Tracy) Henderson; grandson, Scotty Henderson; granddaughter, Ashley Henderson; also many great grandchildren. Though our family circle feels forever changed, we take comfort in knowing Mom is now reunited with those she loved and missed so deeply. The reunion must be beautiful. Joyce found beauty in the everyday — walking in nature, a long phone call, a handwritten note, or an afternoon sitting on the front porch visiting with friends and family. Her presence brought calm. Her words brought wisdom. And her love — always steady, always selfless — shaped who we are. She gave us everything. And while the ache of her absence will never truly leave us, we find strength in the legacy she left behind: one of love, resilience, quiet joy, and deep, enduring care. Rest gently now, Mom. You gave your all, and it was more than enough. You are missed beyond words, and loved beyond measure.
