Eufrocina Asuncion Bautista 1935-2017 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Eufrocina A. Bautista passed away peacefully on November 21, 2017. Eufrocina was born in Cavite City, Philippines on May 5, 1935 to Enrique Asuncion and Rosario Villanueva Asuncion. Eufrocina is survived by two sisters, Erlinda Amaba (Ben) of Memphis, Tennessee and Evelyn Banda (Danilo) of Cavite City, Philippines, one daughter Lalaine Cruz (James) of Pensacola, FL, 7 grandchildren, Christopher, James, Jr., Richardo, Leah, Mary, Nikolaos and Nancy-Shannon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Eufrocina is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Ernesto Bautista of 38 years, her two sisters, Eleonara Noceda and Elvy Lapuz, and grandson Michael Cruz. Zenie, as she was known to her friends and family grew up in Cavite City, Philippines, graduated from the University of the East with a degree in Finance/Accounting in 1955. Prior to immigrating to the United States 1974, she worked as an accountant for the US Navy at Subic Bay. Zenie worked initially as an accounting clerk for the State of Florida at the University of West Florida, then working as an accountant for the City of Pensacola. She then gained position of lead account and retiring as auditor for Escambia County after almost 20 years of employment with the county. She was the first female to obtain the position of auditor for Escambia County. Zenie was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Little Flower Charismatic Prayer Group and Legion of Mary. She was a member of the Filipino-American Association of Pensacola, where she served as treasurer for many years through the 80’s and 90’s. She was loved by all, her infections smile, hugs and kisses will be truly missed. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at West Florida Hospital ER, PACU, ICU and also the staff of Covenant Hospice at West Florida, for taking such great care of our mom and grandmother. A viewing will be held Friday, December 1st at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at Little Flower Catholic Church, 6495 Lillian Hwy, Pensacola, at 11:00 am, Father Eugene Casserly will be presiding. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St., Pensacola FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, is entrusted with arrangements. You may express your condolences online at www.fcfhs.com
