David "Neal" Lewis

David “Neal” Lewis, 58, of Bay Springs Florida, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Neal was an avid outdoorsman who found happiness in the stillness of early morning fishing trips and the thrill of deer and turkey season. Hunting was more than a pastime for Neal, it was a tradition he shared with his dad, brother, and close friends. Together, they created countless cherished memories and stories that he loved to recall. Those experiences deepened his love for the outdoors. He also enjoyed college football, his favorite team being Alabama’s Crimson Tide. Neal learned the art of craftsmanship at a young age from his dad, a skill that he carried throughout his life. His talent knew no bounds; he designed and built hunting gear, remodeled multiple houses, and created countless handcrafted items for his wife and mom. He had a remarkable gift - not only could he envision what he wanted to create, but he could bring it to life with precision. Above all, Neal loved Jesus and he loved his family. He adored Priscilla, his wife of 35 years. Together they built a family centered on Christ, love, and laughter. He was a proud father to Dustin & Derek and a doting pawpaw to his sweet girls, Mila & Maren, who brought him endless joy. He treasured every moment spent with his grand babies. Neal will be remembered for his sweet smile, his kind heart, his unwavering strength, and his ability to find purpose in everything he did. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Lewis; sons Dustin & Derek (Morgan)Lewis; grand babies Mila & Maren Lewis; parents, Eugene and Eunice Lewis; siblings, Sharon Chavers & Mark Lewis; niece, Wendy (Jeff) Hamrick; nephew, Levi Lewis; and his great niece, Aubry Hamrick. Neal’s legacy of his faith in Jesus, love for his family, testimony of strength, and his craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 11:00am. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Pastor Jeff McKee will be officiating.
