Barbara Ann Cronic

And departing leave behind us foot prints on the sands of time.” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow * Barbara Ann Cronic, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep, December 10, 2019. She was born July 28, 1926 in Opelika, Alabama to Amanda and Hector McLean. In 1945 she was married to Robert Burnham and later to Carmit Kea and Clyde Chronic. She brought into this world two sons, Allan and Jerry, and one daughter, Karla. She leaves Karla Fowkes and her husband, Bruce Fowkes, and Jerry Kea and his wife, Sandra Cassina-Kea. She also leaves her two sisters, Maxine Hembree and Brenda Stone, four grandchildren, Jay Barrow, Fredrick Barrow and his wife Jeanna, Keaton Fowkes, and Jeff Logue, four great grandchildren, Scott, Kendall, Grant Allan, and Makenna, and many nieces and nephews. She attended Milton High School and graduated in 1943. For thirty years she served the Alabama-Mississippi Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist first as an Administrative Assistant and later as the Executive Secretary to the president. Afterwards, she and her husband, Clyde, established Creative Arts, a company that manufactured and wholesaled their products throughout the United States. She was a loving and dedicated mother, faithful friend, child of God, and servant of all mankind. Her sweet and wonderful and caring spirit naturally flowed from her heart to all within her life circle. And, her upright and noble and completely service-driven life won the respect and appreciation of her loved ones, many friends, and numerous work associates throughout her lifetime. She was truly a great woman… and a special soul has departed from us all. As written long ago, “she has borne the burden and heat of the day and served long in My vineyard” and, like a tired soldier, it was time for her to lay his armor down...and she did. It is with deep sorrow and great reluctance that we let her go. Yet, the spirit that was given to her has now returned from whence it came…and whispers in our ears “weep not my beloved family, weep not my dear friends, I’ve only gone Home…and I am resting in the bosom of Jesus. Now let me take my rest…and I’ll see you in the Morning.”
