Anna Ray Johnson

Anna Ray Johnson, 77, of Milton, Florida, entered Heaven’s gates on December 3rd, 2019 surrounded by her four daughters, Ann Rogers, Theresa Patrick, Diane Petrie, Michelle Janke, and granddaughter, Ashley Korn. Anna Johnson was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on November 13, 1942 to her devoted parents, Lois and Jack Ryder of Hamburg, Iowa and graduated from Lourdes Central High School. Proceeding Anna in death are Lois and Jack Ryder, Leonard Kagey, Jake Johnson, and the girls’ Father and best friend, Harvey Greg Mathews. Anna is survived by her daughters, Ann and Doug Rogers of Pensacola, Florida, Theresa Patrick and Diane Petrie of Milton, Florida, and Michelle Janke and Joe Thomas of Dalton, Ga. Additional survivors include her sister, Julie Newman and two brothers, John Ryder and Steve Ryder. As well as being an amazing mother, Anna was also a loving grandma “Ga” and great grandma. Anna leaves behind 15 grandchildren; Amber Allen, Ashley Korn, Joey Faircloth, Brittany Jacobs, Connor MacDonald, Kyle Mclaughlin, Jacob Holley, Lauren Holley, StevenRay Janke, Rayanna Janke, Tyler Bradley, MaKayla Bradley, Jack Bradley, Kyle Rogers and Nicole Burt. She also leaves 5 great-grandchildren; Andrew Allen, Aiden Allen, Addyson Korn, Lillie Korn, and Tucker Faircloth. When Anna was asked, what is the dream you wanted most for your life? Her exact response was, “I already did it. I wanted to be a mom.” It was obvious to anyone that had the opportunity to meet Anna, that she was a very devoted and loving mother full of life and laughter who left remarkable memories to everyone she met, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Anna loved to be in the sun, ride her bike miles around town, clean and organize her home, and eat Hershey Kisses. Anna battled a terrible disease for many years that left her disabled. However, she handled every day with a thankful heart to Jesus, tremendous strength, and admiring grace. She always encouraged her loved ones with her wise and loving words. Her most used phrases were, “May God bless you and keep you safe”, “One day at a time”, “Do your best”, “See You”- words that her family will cherish forever. The family would like to sincerely thank Life Care of Pensacola for the compassion, care, laughter, and stories you provided for our dear Mother the last three years; especially in her final days of life.
