Willard Jessie Carter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Willard Jessie Carter, age 78 of Pensacola, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Mr. Carter served his country in the United States Army. He will be remembered as a very talented landscaper in the Pensacola area for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Marie Marlowe Carter; daughter, Latricia Leigh Carter; brother, Clifford Carter and a sister, Myrtlee Williamson. He is survived by his five children, Willard “Bunk” Carter Jr. (Denise O’Brian), Susie Carter (Joe Mangerchine), Steve Carter, Gerald Carter and Chadwick Carter; 11 grandchildren, Lawrence Bell Carlton Carter, Ashley Carter, Hillary Geri, Buford “Snapper” Carter, LeeAnna Bell, Elan Henson, Mason Carter, April Carter, Chris Hargrove and Steven “Doodle” Carter; five brothers, Leonard Carter, Dewey Carter, Carroll Carter, Carlie Carter and J.J. Carter; three sisters, Elizabeth Coker, Lillian Weber and Betty Jean McClam. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.
