    Wiliam 'Bill' Lee Webb

    September 23, 1959 - December 13, 2011

    Mr. William (Billy) Lee Webb Sr., age 52, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Billy was the great great great great grandson of King Richard I 'the Lion Hearted' of England. Born September 23, 1959, in Vallejo, California, William had many achievements during his lifetime. He served in both the United States Army and the National Guard. As a member of the National Guard, he helped fight the 1996 Yosemite wildfires and was even featured on a 20/20 interview for his role in fighting the wildfires. He was also an interstate truck driver for over 20 years, and at one point, owned Bill Webb Trucking Company, based out of Port Costa, California. He had a red belt with two stripes in Kung Fu, which led him to a role on the movie Any Which Way You Can, with Clint Eastwood. He gave back to his community by performing military funeral honors for Veterans of California on a voluntary basis. He contributed to around forty funerals a month. William also played both the guitar and the bugle. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Webb, Sr. and his brother James Faron Simmons. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Bragg, and his stepfather, James Lee Simmons, eldest daughter Rebecca (Joe) Webb Robinson, son William Lee Webb, Jr., youngest daughter, Annie Webb, brother, Johnny Webb, Brother, Kenneth Webb, Jr., sister, Deborah (Matthew) Webb Cooper, brother David Simmons, brother Rick (Shawna) Webb, sister Delora (Bob) Webb Allen, Elizabeth (Keith) Webb Self, Kadean (Jim) Webb Kendall, Granddaughters Taylor Robinson and Jamaca Robinson. The family of William wishes to express our sincere thanks for the expressions of love during our time of bereavement. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with William’s final expenses. Donations should be mailed to Rebecca Webb, 2412 Balsamwood Ct., Orange Park, FL 32065. William was a man of great strength and honor and he will be truly missed. Celebration of Life Service for William will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, Florida 32505. Senior Pastor Joey Rogers will officiate. William will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, Florida 32508-1054.
