Susan Jean Holland
December 26, 1951 - November 23, 2021
God-Family-Love November 23, 2021, the angels came to bring our beloved sister, Susan Jean Holland home to the Lord she so dearly loved. Born December 26, 1951 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Jean and Harry Holland, she was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at an early age with a limited life expectancy. Susan was blessed to live most of her long life at home, with her devoted Mother, before moving to Florida in 2018. Susan was a graduate of East Brunswick High School, East Brunswick, NJ, and an active member of The United Methodist Church in New Jersey, PA, and Florida. She assisted in communions, serving as an acolyte and door greater. Susan loved helping out wherever needed. She'd just as soon sit & chat with a little one as she would someone elderly. Learning to read and write, she enjoyed reading the Bible, singing from her hymnal and keeping up with the daily weather report! Sue loved going to camp. If you knew Sue, you knew she was "going to camp" every summer. Camp Innabah & Twin Pines were Christian camps in PA that included programs for handicap & disabled adults. "Camp", was one of the many things that allowed her to live a normal & very happy life. Sue was an avid bowler, and member of the Middlesex ARC bowling group where she participated in Special Olympics, receiving many prized trophies. A lifetime lover of country music, Susan always enjoyed a good dance partner and held many dance cards through the years! Susan loved being a big sister, and adored being an aunt to six nieces and nephews. She fed them, she diapered them, she disciplined them and taught them songs to sing! There wasn't a person that met Sue that was not immediately taken by her charm and ability to communicate and to show love, Unconditionally. She was funny, and could get you with a stinger remark when you least expected it. She has touched all of us in her own way, and none of us will ever forget how truly special she was. She loved more! Predeceased by her father Harry A. Holland, her brother Christian F. Holland, her sister-in-law Carole Holland, and step-father Harold Chesner. Susan leaves behind her loving & devoted mother, Jean Holland Chesner, Sisters Christine "Tina" Cirou and sister and brother-in-law Kathleen & Robert Williams. Nephews, Nieces and spouses; Jesse and Wendy Holland, Robert and Margaret Williams, Andrew and Kristin Cirou & Cale Cirou and Katina Hopkins, Rebecca and Joe Szabo and Melissa and John Krehley, along with many cousins and friends, old and new. Our family will have a special service Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Chapel funeral home in Pensacola, Florida.https://www.fcfhs.com In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish foundation; https://wish.org and Special Olympics; https://www.specialolympics.org Susan's final resting service will follow in the spring of 2022, in her home state of New Jersey, next to her father. Love, love, love All you need is love.........
