September 24, 1957 - January 4, 2022
Sandra Jill Uher, an angel on Earth, gained her wings and met her Lord at Heaven’s pearly gates on January 4, 2022 at the age of 64. Surrounded by her three children during her final moments, she passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior and has been made whole again. Sandra was born on September 24, 1957 at Robinson Memorial Hospital and journeyed through life with her two sisters, Lorrie and Cathy, whom she deeply cherished. She attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and studied Nursing. She was naturally a nurturing soul, doting on those in need and helped to heal the broken both physically and emotionally. Sandra’s path ultimately took her to the Escambia County School District, where she contributed 28-years, most recently as an Administrative Secretary in the Psychological Services Department. She immensely enjoyed her position within that Department and loved her co-workers. Sandra was a member of Marcus Point Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, where she was baptized after professing her faith in Jesus. Sandy held an immeasurable and pure love for her children, Angela, Brandon, and Kevin. These three were her entire universe, her world, and her heart. Every breath she took and every move she made was for her children. Birthdays were special and shopping trips were memorable but Christmas? Christmas was Sandra’s time to shine. She diligently prepared ALL year for Christmas, putting her heart and soul into searching for the perfect gift for each person on her list. Her home was decorated from top to bottom with tinsel, merriment, and jingle jangles. The living room floor was barely visible as gift after beautifully wrapped gift took up all available space. Cinnamon, pine, and scents of her Christmas dinner filled the air, greeting family as they walked through the door. Her tree was full of ornaments from Christmases past, each carrying with them with their own special story. And that’s how we remember Sandra…as our own special story. One full of hope, kindness, loyalty, honesty, beauty, selflessness, strength, laughter, humility, generosity, trust, faith, kindness and above all…love. Her story lives on within those that survive her, her daughter Angela and spouse, Mark; her son Brandon and spouse, Bree; her son Kevin and spouse, Heather; her sisters Lorrie and Cathy; and her grandchildren Brianna, Garrison, Tyler, Aidan, Katie, Hanna, and Bella. Sandra is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Raymond and Almeta Pingley and her birth father, Harry Pingley. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home South (100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, Florida 32505. A memorial service honoring Sandra will be held on January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. will be held at the same location. A processional to the burial site located at the Pensacola Memorial Gardens (7433 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, Florida 32526) will immediately follow the funeral.
