Sandra Lynn "Sam" Mack

March 12, 1962 - January 31, 2022

Sandra Lynn Mack, born 3/12/1962 in Marshfield, MO to Bonnie & Arthur Merrell, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was the oldest child so she stepped in to the roll of caring for people, especially children, at an early age. She played a special part in the lives of more people than we can count, but none compared to being a wife and mother. Sandra married the love of her life Lovon on 10/31/1981. They spent over 40 years together and their love for each other only grew stronger with time. The only thing that she loved as much as Lovon was her children, Samantha and Bubba. She loved her children unconditionally and nothing would ever change that. Her love didn’t stop there! Sandra still had so much love to give that, when family children needed a safe and loving home, she and Lovon willingly opened their home to 5 more children (Joseph, Victoria, Danielle, Daniel and Dustin) over the years. When she was laid off from her job in 2002, she opened an in-home daycare. By this time, she had been blessed with her first grand-baby, Amanda. MawMaw was the name given by her grandkids, but it wasn’t limited to them. She kept MANY kids in her daycare over the years but none called her Mrs. Mack or Mrs. Sandra she was just MawMaw to all of them. Between 2005 and 2012 Sandra was blessed with 5 more beautiful grandchildren! James, Jaden, Brian, Peyton and Brantley. Some of her favorite stories to tell were ones of her kids and grandkids mischief! There was nothing she loved more than caring for people especially her family. Sandra touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her daddy (step-dad), Gordon Wheeler; father, Arthur Merrell; brother, Richard Merrell; uncle, Larry Moore; aunt, Linda Moore; mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Betty Mack. She is survived by her husband, Lovon Mack; daughter, Samantha Mack; sons, Bubba Mack and Joseph Mack; mother, Bonnie Wheeler; granddaughters, Amanda, Jaden and Peyton; grandsons, James, Brian and Brantley; brothers, Gary and Jimmy; sisters, Shelly, Lisa, Jackie, Angie and Kathy; 16 nieces and nephews and more friends who were family than we can count. Visitation will be at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Ard Field Cemetery. Steve Pearlman will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Land, James Reeves, Brian Reeves, Daniel Martin, Dustin Martin and Dylan Kimmons. In Lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
