Sandra Jean Bedsole Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sandra Jean Bedsole 1945-2021 Sandra Bedsole, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, December 17, 2021. She was born in Pensacola, FL on August 16, 1945. After graduating from Pensacola High School in 1963, she attended Pensacola Junior College. While attending First Christian Church in Pensacola, she met James Travis Bedsole. She and Travis were married in January of 1965 and would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in January 2022. After marriage, the couple moved to Boise, Idaho where Travis served in the United States Air Force. After military service, they moved back to Pensacola, FL in 1967 where Sandra started a long career in education administration. Sandra retired in 2011 from the Escambia County School system serving at Ransom Middle School. As a longtime member of Olive Baptist Church, she served the Lord by teaching youth Sunday school and spent many hours mentoring young men and women. She was also a student of the Word of God and loved studying the Bible. Sandra was an avid craftswoman who enjoyed basket weaving, sewing, cross stich, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was everything to her and she loved them all dearly. Sandra was also a woman who maintained deep, lifelong friendships. She is survived by her husband James Travis Bedsole; her daughter Cindy Talley (David) of Potomac Falls, VA; her son James Madison Bedsole of Pensacola, FL; her daughter-in-law Stacey Bedsole of Milton, FL; four grandchildren Tristin Bedsole, Aiden Bedsole, Stanley Bedsole and Kayla Bedsole; sister Pam Elliott of Toms River, NJ, brother Raymond Baughn of Jacksonville, FL and proceeded in death by her son Michael Lee Bedsole and parents George William and Louise Baughn. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am and a Celebration of Life Service will be from 10:00-11:00 am at Olive Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 21. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
