Samuel Roy Wolfe

Samuel (Sam) R. Wolfe, 85, was called home by our heavenly Father on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 6:44 PM in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family, covered by love and prayer. He was born in Glade Spring, Virginia and passed in Pensacola, Florida. After high school, Sam enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as an Aviation Electronic Technician earning many awards and commendations. He retired after 21 years and 6 months of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He made many friends from these hobbies. He was awarded with a lifetime membership with the Speckled Trout Club. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Brenda Wolfe; his son, Sammy (Rhonda) Wolfe; his daughters, Cindy Ryan and Vicki (Glenn) Ruedy; his six grandchildren, Whitney Griffith, Stormi (Jason) Bettis, Shane Ryan, Madison McCormack, Savannah Turner and Alyssa Ryan; 2 great-grandchildren, Whitlynn Douglas and Violet Brown; and by a special cousin, Tootsie (Russell) Naron. A Memorial Service will be at Charity Chapel, 5820 Montgomery Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32526, on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM. A visitation and reception will start immediately after the service. Pastor Mike Collins will be officiating. A private burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery, on March 8, 2022.
