Randolph Edward Devron Robbert Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randolph Edward Devron Robbert, 74, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on June 18th, 2022. He passed from pancreatic cancer at home with his wife and daughter by his side. Randy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Anna Dell and Albert August Robbert Jr. as one of six children. He attended Spring Hill College and earned a degree in Business. Soon after graduation he fought in the Vietnam War as a well-liked and respected Army Lieutenant platoon leader. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain in 1986. At the age of 24 he met Judith Johns on a blind date. They fell in love at first sight and Randy asked for her hand on their second date, they married 6 months later. And within two years their daughter, Suzanne was born. He was a kind and dependable father, and he gave his daughter endless love and support. On April 28, 2022, Randy and Judy celebrated 49 years of unconditional love and friendship before his passing. Randy’s career included work as a business manager for stevedoring, architectural/engineering/construction-infrastructure companies. He particularly enjoyed the opportunity to put on a hard hat to check out the latest bridge project. He valued his friendships with co-workers at his final position with Balfour Beatty in Wilmington, North Carolina. Randy was an avid golfer throughout his life. He won several trophies with a 6 average handicap and found good friends on the course. He discovered triathlons in his mid 60’s and quickly started winning awards with his natural athleticism. Randy’s relaxed demeanor and infectious smile put everyone he met at ease. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and made certain your time with him was memorable. In addition to his wife, Judy and daughter, Suzanne and pet “Kit Kit”, Randy is survived by his two brothers, Albert August Robbert III, John Robbert, and two sisters, Louise Huete, Lisette Fabacher, and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents and sister Leslie Marsh. The funeral service will be held at Faith Chapel South in Pensacola and his inurnment at Barrancas National Cemetery will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022.
