Obituary for Rachel Ann Lara
Rachel Ann Lara passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the age of 17. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on May 13, 2003. She loved the beach, her cats, and spending time with family and friends. Rachel volunteered in the Campus Church Nursery, at the Marcus Pointe Thrift store, and participated in the Pensacola Explores program. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Lara; father, Scott Lara; sisters, Abigail and Isabel Lara; and grandparents, Mark and Cherie Adams and Ray and Sylvia Lara. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. John Chapel @ Pensacola Christian College with Pastor Jeff Redlin and Pastor Chuck Gourley officiating. Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Pensacola Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation in honor of Rachel Lara. Donations can be given online @ givetochildrens.org/donate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South.
