    Paul Sergio Inacio

    October 20, 1943 - January 28, 2012

Paul Sergio Inacio, 68, of Pensacola, FL passed away January 28, 2012 due to complications following heart surgery. He was surrounded by loved ones during this period and left us in peace. Though in the end his heart was weak, it was full. Paul was born on October 20, 1943 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was the first of three children born to Manoel Gomes Inacio and Ida Lopez DeLima Inacio. He emigrated to the United States in his teenage years to pursue the American dream he held so dear. He moved in with an uncle in New Jersey to learn a trade, learn the language, and pursue his dreams. In New Jersey, he worked for Metro Glass Company, Tingley Rubber Company and was offered an apprenticeship to learn welding, pipe fitting and boiler making by Exxon Mobil Corporation. In New Jersey he met Lucille (Marcinko) who became his wife on July 1, 1963. They welcomed four children into their family during those early years of marriage. In 1975 Paul moved the family to Pensacola, FL for an opportunity to work in the Mobile Shipyard. While in Pensacola the Inacio family welcomed a fifth child. Paul was later employed by Gulf Power as a welder mechanic and taught Welding Technology courses at Pensacola Junior College. He was a skilled welder, mechanically inclined, and a hard worker that provided well for his large family. He was an active member in the IBEW union and always fought for the underdog. After his retirement from Gulf Power/Southern Companies, Paul spent his free time volunteering at many local charities that were near and dear to his heart like Loaves and Fishes. He was also affiliated with All Saints Church in Warrington where he served and worshipped. Paul was an unforgettable larger than life character. He was a great storyteller with an unbelievable memory of the minor details. He was an avid joke teller with a laugh that was so distinctive you could always pick him out in a crowd. He felt compelled to entertain any audience that was willing to give him an ear. He had a big heart and was always moved to compassion for those in hardship, tragedy, or need. He had a penchant for politics, current events, and causes. He was “King of the Political Forward” with his numerous political emails. He made us smile and scratch our heads. He frustrated us, confused us, made us laugh, and made us cry. In the end he will be missed more than he believed he would be. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Manoel and Ida Inacio and his mother-in-law, Lillian Marcinko. Survivors include his former wife of over 30 years, Lucille (Marcinko) Inacio; daughters, Jenny (Everett), Natalie (Lackey), and Janelle (Seabrook); sons, Paul Inacio and Tim Inacio; son-in-laws, Ross Everett, Kevin Lackey & Nick Seabrook; daughter-in-laws, Laura Inacio & Mary Inacio; 12 grandchildren, Ben, Patrick and Jon Everett, Nick, Noah and Nathan Lackey, Alex and Joey Inacio, Sloane and Tobin Inacio, and Colin and Joel Seabrook (with future Seabrook on the way); father-in-law, Stephen Marcinko; brother, Julio Inacio and his wife, Alba and their children, Andrea, Raquel, Kezia and their families; sister, Mila Gintner and her husband Luiz and their children, Christian, Dale and Christopher and their families; several great nieces, nephews, many loved ones, and special friends. The family members would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Pat Wyatt for her devoted care of Paul during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12th at 1pm at Faith Chapel South on Beverly Parkway with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 2pm. Reverend Hall from All Saints Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Loaves and Fishes Thrift Store or Soup Kitchen in Paul’s honor. Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, is handling arrangements. Condolences may be placed online at www.fcfhs.com
