    Patricia Lee Poley

    December 8, 1946 - September 27, 2012

Patricia Lee Poley passed away on September 27, 2012 unexpectedly from an infection of the colon which overtook her body. Pat was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, on December 8, 1946, to Thomas H. and Lillian P. Kelly. Pat grew up in the Atlantic County area and married Joseph Clayton Poley on August 28, 1965. Pat and Joe had two children, Clifton Scott and Kelly Dawn and in 1972 moved to Escambia County, FL where they both lived the rest of their adult lives. For many years Pat worked, and helped run family businesses, to make sure her family was provided for. Pat enjoyed hobbies of reading and gardening (for hours on end) and took absolute delight in spending time with her grandchildren whenever possible. In recent years, Pat became a resident at University Hills where she enjoyed playing bingo, calling her family, reading, and attending church services where she could worship and hear God's Word. Pat especially loved the time spent taking occasional trips to Waffle House, Dairy Queen, and church with her brother-in-law Rudy Arcement. Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, but above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Pat is survived by her two children: Son, Clifton Scott Poley and Daughter, Kelly Dawn Ferguson (James Edwin Ferguson). She is also survived by her Sister, Kim Kelly. She leaves grandchildren, Albert Ray Fillingim, Justin Ryan Poley, Brandon Scott Poley, Karri Anne Adkins, Stephen Lee Yonker, and Shelly Marie Yonker. Pat also leaves great-grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Bigner, Kelsey Lee-Anne Bigner, and Levi Ryan Yonker and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Pat is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Clayton Poley, her Mother, Lillian P. Kelly, her father, Thomas H. Kelly, and daughter-in-law Carolyn Joy Floyd Poley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6th, at 2pm, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Highway 29 South, Cantonment, FL. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements. Please express your condolences at www.fcfhs.com.
