Mary Elizabeth Wine Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Elizabeth Wine, 71, of Pensacola, FL passed away on July 19, 2022 after living a life full of love and meaning. She was born on March 29, 1951, in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Fred and Betty Burton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wine. After meeting at Adrian College, the two love birds celebrated 43 years of marriage. Mary is survived by her two sons, Jason (Cindy) Wine (Grandchildren: Charlie and Kara), and Joshua (Jessica) Wine (Grandchildren: Norah and Patrick), and her older brother Jim (Gail) Burton. The couple lived in Jacksonville, Brunswick, and Pensacola, Florida. Larry and Mary raised two boys to manhood and instilled in them their values of service, kindness, and respect for others. While raising her sons, Mary gave it her all. She volunteered with their Scouts, Sports, and Band activities. She was a Registered nurse and cared for the mentally ill for decades. After retiring, she enjoyed being a fun Nana to her grandchildren and traveling the countryside with Larry in their motorhome. A good book was always in her hand, and she had enough collected to open 3 libraries. Mary also enjoyed playing cards, listening to The Beatles, and decorating for the holidays. Alzheimer’s Disease took Mary away from us too soon. How her family lives now, going forward, is part of her legacy. She will be laid to rest with her husband in a private service at the Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
