Mary Tokanel McManus

January 17, 1932 - March 18, 2022

Mary T. McManus, born January 7, 1932, in Windham, NH, received her angel wings on March 18, 2022. She was met at Heaven’s gate by her loving husband of 38 years, Clayton F. McManus, Sr.; her siblings, Peter Tokanel, John Tokanel, Demetru Tokanel, and Anna McCann; as well as her son, John T. McManus. She is survived by her children, Anna/Charlie Degrandpre, Kathlyn/Mike Briand, Clayton (Butch)/Shirley McManus, Patricia/Lloyd Wheat, Nancy/David Radcliff, Daniel/Linda McManus, and Michael/Heather McManus; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Mary was the first generation of her family born in the United States. Although she was born without a “filter”, she had a heart of gold. She hosted many parties for the disabled populations, donated to several charities, and worked with the homeless. She will be sorely missed but not forgotten. Services will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Friends can visit at 10:00 AM with services to follow at 11:00 AM. William McNeely will be officiating. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL. A Celebration of Life will follow at Pat/Lloyd’s house afterwards. Pallbearers will be Lloyd E. Wheat, IV, Leslie Wheat, John Hilley, Ryan McManus, Sabbeth Levesque, and David Briand. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Wheat and Marcus McManus.
