Margaret J. Mickelsen

Margaret “Jean” Mickelsen (June 30, 1934 – June 1, 2022) Jean was born June 30, 1934 in Ovid, Michigan to Henry “Ivan” Buell and Cornelia “May” (McManus) Buell. The family returned to their long-time home in Bear Lake, Mi within a couple of years after her birth. She passed on June 1, 2022 at her daughter Dana’s home in Pace, FL and is now reunited with her husband, Don. She was a talented seamstress who demonstrated this skill during her years as a dedicated Navy wife both for her family and others. Jean was quick witted and loved people, making many friends during her Navy travels and after Don’s retirement from the Navy. She continued to utilize her sewing skills teaching classes and doing alterations. She was preceded in death by her Parents Ivan and May, Mother-in-law Eleanor, husband Don, infant daughter Kyle Jan, brother Robert and his wife Joyce Buell, Sister Shirley Meteer, Sister Jo and her husband Bud Elwell, and Grandson in law Jerry Maxey She will be dearly missed by her son Dennis (Marcy) Mickelsen, their daughters Leigh Maxey and Stacey (Mike) King; son Darren (Robin) Mickelsen, their daughter Sabrina Holland, son Tim (Christie) Holland; and daughter Dana (Steve) Peake, their daughter Sarah (Tyler) Infinger, and sons Christopher Peake and Noah Peake; Her twin sister June (Gordon) of Honor, Mi; her brother-in law Glen Meteer of Maple City, Mi; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
