Loice Bernice Jackson

Loice Bernice (Clopton) Jackson, 86, native of Pensacola Florida, departed her earthly home on Friday, March 14, 2025. Loice was a cherished member of St Johns Catholic Church, and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She said her rosary and prayers every morning, and found solace and strength in her faith. Loice thoroughly enjoyed going to all of her great grandchildren’s sporting events, and was their biggest cheerleader. Warrington Veterinarian Clinic clients (and pets), Dr. Mike Henderson and staff, were a big part of her life for 27 years, and she retired from there at age 82. She really enjoyed her trips to Wind Creek Casino, with her brother Tommy, and we feel certain they’ve already hit the big one in heaven! Loice was a beloved mother of 7, and 1 foster child, Mercedes Mallery (Tim), Terry Jackson (Patty), Katie Fitzgerald (Jimmy), Alfred Jackson (Jean), Agnes Quina (John), Missy Smith (Jim), Sydney Murphy (Eddie) and Mary Price (Younes), and a very proud grandmother to her 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Her sisters and brothers: Sheila Jernigan, Johnnie Clopton (Joyce), Joyce Edgar (Franklin), Gail Baglioni (Vincent), David Clopton and Debbie. She also had countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, that she loved dearly. Family meant everything to her. Loice is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, of 38 years; parents, Sidney and Agnes (Lockwood) Clopton; brothers, Chipley, Jeff, Tommy ( who passed away the same day) and Jerry Clopton. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 20, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, Beverly Parkway, with a rosary to be prayed at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on March 21st, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a burial service at Clopton’s Cemetery on Davis Highway. A Celebration of Life reception, will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St Thomas More banquet hall, on Barrancas Ave. Active pallbearers are Tim Mallery, II, John Quina, II, Austin Quina, Tyler Jackson, Bryan Jackson, Matthew Fitzgerald, and Christian and Donovan Murphy. Honorary pallbearers are Cory Jackson, Michael Howard, David Howard, Daniel Howard, Tony Howard, and Richard Howard. “All that we are, or ever hope to be, we owe to our angel mother”
