Obituary for Kim Spence

Kim Spence, 74 years old, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, surrounded with family that loved her dearly. Kim was born on May 28, 1945 in Jangsu-gun, South Korea. She moved to the United States in the early 1970's with her husband, TSGT Bobbie J. Spence, USAF. Married for 44 years, they raised their three daughters, Patty, Barbara and Joyce in Crestview, Florida. Kim was a devoted and loving wife. She was a mother who always selflessly put her family first in all things. Kim touched everyone who knew her through the love of Christ. She was a virtuous woman - a prayer warrior with a faithful heart. Kim found joy in cooking for loved ones and tending to her bountiful garden. She also served as deacon, elder and member of the choir for many years at GMC Korean Baptist Church in Crestview, Florida. She inspired others with her tireless Christian example. Kim is survived by her husband, Bobbie Spence, three daughters, Patty Holmes (Michael) of Mobile, AL, Barbara Spence of Panama City Beach, FL, Joyce Walz (Rob) of Pace, FL, and cherished family friend, Charles Davis of Crestview, FL. She also leaves behind her greatest joys, five grandchildren, Joshua Holmes, Max Holmes, Olivia Holmes, Owen Walz, and Isla Walz.

The family wishes to thank Meg Lawhon and the entire staff at Crescent Park Village in Crestview, FL for their exceptional care of Kim during her final years. Our deepest appreciation also goes out to the staff of Covenant Care Hospice at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida for providing such gentle and respectful care in her final days. Commitment service and burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at Pensacola NAS on Monday, July 15 at 10:00am.
