January 24, 1947 - February 11, 2022
Judith (Bohannon) Kimbro went home to the Lord on February 11, 2022. She passed peacefully in her home in Pensacola in the presence of family and caregivers. Judi was born on Eglin Air Force Base and moved around as an Air Force kid for most of her childhood. Some of the stations she moved to included Japan and Bellville, Illinois. However, most of her young life was spent in Orlando and Pensacola. Judi married at the young age of 19 and raised 3 boys. Her love for children would see her eventually becoming the assistant director of Miss Jean’s Early Learning Center in Pensacola. She will always be remembered as an incredible caregiver. Even to the sacrifice of her own happiness, she put others needs ahead of her own. Judi loved her 3 boys with all of her heart and put family ahead of everything else in this world. Judi will always be remembered as being the most beautiful person in the room anywhere she went. She loved being with her family and she loved the ocean. Judi was preceded in death by her father, Hughie William Bohannon; her mother, Marja Annell Kalashian; husband, Thomas Lynell Kimbro; and her son, Christopher Todd Kimbro. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas William Kimbro and Shane Michael Kimbro; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Daniel Kimbro, Sarah Beth Kimbro, Clayton James Kimbro, and Victoria Marie Kimbro. The family would like to thank the staff of Vitas Healthcare for providing compassionate Hospice care during her final days. The family would also like to recognize Heidi Jones for her dedication as a caregiver. She made Judi’s last 2 years the very best they could possibly be. Thank you, Heidi. Visitation will be Friday, February 18 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the funeral home. Jay Kimbro will be officiating. You may express condolences online at www.fcfhs.com.
