Jessie Mitchell John "Smitty" Smith
March 16, 1984 - April 8, 2022
Jessie Mitchell John Smith “Smitty” came into this world March 16, 1984 in Pensacola. He succumbed to a motorcycle accident April 8, 2022 at the age of 38. He is preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Smith 7/22/11. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Abigail and Ariana Smith; his loving mother, Fawn Smith; his former wife and mother of his children, Maggie Smith; and his sisters, Jasmine and Jamie and nephew, Moses; paternal grandmother, Janis Smith and maternal grandmother, Dalene Smither and many aunts & uncles, and cousins. Jessie graduated from Tate High School and he grew up in Beulah. He was a hard worker and enjoyed a great reputation as one of the best paint contractors in Pensacola. His love was spending time with his daughters, family and friends, playing his guitar (loved music & was in several bands), riding his Harley, muscle cars (hobby shared with his father), surfing, hunting, deep sea fishing and traveling. He was also a skilled carpenter and visual artist. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends & coworkers. Jessie lived his life with all his might. He was the embodiment of what every man desires to be. He was the strength of crashing waves, the gentleness of the wind’s whisper. He held so many up in this world, that only the Lord God himself can fill the void from the loss of his presence on earth. Jessie loved the Lord with his heart and he wanted Jesus to be mentioned, he was always clear about his love of God. He now resides in heaven with Jesus and his father & those others who have passed before him.
