Mrs. Jeanette Antley went to be with the Lord March 22, 2022. Mrs. Antley was born December 20, 1925 in Houston County, AL. She married Ernest Antley August 7, 1943 in San Antonio, TX. After he returned from the war they moved to White City, FL. She was one of the founders of the White City First Baptist Church and was a very active member. Actively working as teacher, director, VBS worker, treasurer as well as playing the piano. Mrs. Antley drove a school bus for Gulf County, FL for 31 years. She was loved and remembered by so many that rode her bus for school and extracurricular activities such as band trips. Mrs. Antley was very busy raising their five children, working, being very active in church and her many hobbies. She enjoyed working in her ceramic shop doing ceramics, porcelain dolls and teaching others. In 2001 she and Ernest moved to Cantonment, FL due to his health. After his death she remained in Cantonment becoming a member of First Baptist Church Cantonment and assumed many roles and responsibilities. She volunteered at West Florida Hospital in the surgery waiting room. She was preceded in death by her husband, of over 60 years, Ernest Antley; and son, Bob R. Antley. Mrs. Antley was survived by, son, Bill (Darlene) Antley of Port St. Joe, FL; daughters, Susanne (Danny) Deaton of Cantonment, FL, Janet (Johnny) Register of Slocomb, AL, and Carole (Joe) Hollis of Westpoint, TN; daughter in law, Deana Antley of Northfield, MN; fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Antley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. Will Stone and Bro. Larry Huff officiating. A private family burial will be held in Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashford, AL. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. prior to services. The family would like to thank Homestead Village of Pensacola and The Haven of Our Lady of Peace for their loving and kind care the past 3 years. The pallbearers will be: Reese Antley, Ronnie Godfrey, Larry Smith, Ronnie Gilmore, Ottoway Fillingim and Terry Gray. Flowers and contributions to First Baptist Church of Cantonment are both welcome.
