James Michael Drummond Sr

James Michael “Mike” Drummond, Sr. age 72 died Thursday, February 24, 2022. Mike was born on February 4, 1950 in Pensacola, Florida. On September 3, 1968 he married the love of his life, Charlotte. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Army, bravely fought in the Vietnam War and was a Drill Sergeant at the time he was honorably discharged. Mike received both a Florida EMT license and his Surgical Technician Certification while attending Pensacola Junior College. He had a lengthy career of 34 years in the paper mill industry as a valued employee of St. Regis Paper Company and Weyerhaeuser Paper Company. For many years Mike enjoyed participating in the independent wrestling circuit and was proudly known as “The Outlaw”. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family. Above all, Mike was humbled the Lord called him to preach. His deepest passion was serving God and ministering to others through scripture and music. He was a songwriter and singer with the Beulah Quartet. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Fay Drummond and Doris Carter Drummond. His is survived by his wife, Charlotte Gable Drummond, Pensacola, FL; three sons, Michael (Marlaina) Drummond, Chadwick (Tonya) Drummond, and Christopher (Jessica) Drummond; and two daughters, Chastity (Steven) Kendrick and Brandy (Omar) Amer; thirteen grandchildren, Christopher Drummond, Brandon Drummond, Sasha Drummond, Rebecca Thompson, Katelyn Kendrick, Orion Kendrick, Lauren Drummond, Emma Drummond, Chadwick Drummond, Payton Drummond, Kincade Jones, Laney Amer, Zachy Amer; and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Grant Gregory and Bro. Ken Johnson officiating. Interment with military honors will take place on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Pallbearers will be: Christopher Drummond, Michael Drummond, Steven Kendrick, Samuel Crowson, Orion Kendrick, and Kincade Jones.
