George Washington Harrison Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

George W. Harrison, 81, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021. He was a retired Escambia County School Bus Driver and former City Councilman in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He served in the Army Reserves and National Guard. He previously attended the Methodist church but was currently attending Brentwood Assembly of God. George was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ruby Harrison; 6 brothers; 1 sister; and son, Kenneth Harrison. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janice; daughter, Sherry (Hank) Furlow; son Darrell (Rainie) Harrison; sister, Patricia Elmore; his grandchildren, Breanna (Larry) Gardner, Cliff (Kelsey) Furlow, Brittney (Adam) Harrison, Hunter Harrison, Chandra (Jake) Riley; ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cliff Furlow, Hunter Harrison, Larry Gardner, Garrett Gardner, Connor Gardner and Adam Jamison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Arnette, Ray Flowers and Don Tedder. Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am. The service will follow immediately after the visitation on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Old Holt Cemetery. Reverend Kenneth Martin of Brentwood Assembly of God will be officiating. Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, is entrusted with arrangements.
