Floriene Frances Henning (Baklik) was born August 4, 1925 in Dime Box, Texas and grew up in Caldwell, Texas. After graduating from high school in 1942 she and her family moved to Houston,Texas where she met her future husband, Charles H. Henning II. They were secretly married in 1944. Together they had three sons, Leland (Lee) D. Henning, Byron D. Henning (Lorraine Houston Henning) and Charles H. Henning III (Shawn Marchetti Henning). She is also survived by her devoted sister Margie Ellen Baklik Thomas, two nephews John and James Gay, 8 grandchildren (Katie, Marty, Jena, Christopher, Joy, Charlie, Rachel, and Dusty) and 7 great grandchildren (Hannah, Haley, Halla, Bella, Alex, Emma and Morgan). Floriene was preceded in death by Robert W. Baklik (father), Annie Rae Hoyak Baklik (mother) and Robert L. Baklik (brother). She and her husband and sons moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1960 where she worked as a Real Estate agent for Ackerman Realty where she won entry to the President’s Club in 1982. She was an exceptional golfer and was the Pinetree Country Club Ladies Champion in 1963, 1964 and 1966, North Fulton Women’s Golf League Champion several years and the Dunwoody Country Club golf champion in 1975. She and her husband moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1993. Floriene loved and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a wonderful sunny disposition, gave the benefit of the doubt to everyone and found the silver lining in every cloud. She passed away April 14, 2022 after a short illness.
