Ester Lee Black

Ester Lee Black, 82, was born on February 13, 1940 and entered her eternal heavenly home on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Ester was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Denham (Emmons); her father, Gail Denham Sr.; four brothers, James A. Denham, Buddy Johnson, Gail Denham Jr. and Jack Denham; her husband, Bud Black; son-in-law, Charles E. Grant; daughter, Harriette Lynn Grant; and granddaughter; Brandy Kelley-Larson. Ester leaves behind one sister, Katie Mathis; two brothers, Grady Denham and McDavid Johnson; two daughters, Donna (Larry) Hood and Brenda Black; two sons, Jimmy (Melissa) Black and Chuck (Debbie) Black; seven granddaughters, Debrah (Jonathan) Brantley, Amber Grant, Samantha (Sean) Fink, Jessie (Charlie) Mato-Toyela, Brandy Black and Katrina (Lynn) Holly; five grandsons, James Ward, Charles Black, Traveon Black, L.J. (Sidney) Hood and Shane Diaz. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and one great-great grandson that she was very excited to meet. Ester was loved so greatly, and her presence will be missed dearly by all of those who knew and loved her. There will be a visitation at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Pastor Mike Mashburn will be officiating. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 S.
