Eleanor D. Benoit
November 14, 1928 - December 1, 2021
Eleanor "Nana" Benoit, age 93 of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Eleanor was born November 14, 1928 in Chicago , Illinois but was raised in Cornwall, England. When she was 19 she returned to the States, where she married and was Mum to 5 Daughters. After raising her children, she went on to raise 5 of her grandchildren while also working full time as a bookkeeper. Nana's aren't supposed to have favourites, but her Special Baby, Boo Boo, was always Brandon Enfinger. Eleanor was most definitely the rock of our family and was always there for us if we were in need. She did the same for friends. Her doors were always open if you needed a place to stay or a hot meal, especially during the Holidays. Nana was active at her church, Brownsville Assembly of God, until she was no longer able to do so. She spent much of her spare time catching up on world news and listening to the word of God. She also thoroughly enjoyed collecting the hottest new collectibles with her daughters. Our sweet Eleanor always talked of the day when she would attend a "family reunion in the sky" and walk the "Streets of Gold". Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Dengler; Daughter's, Paulette Brown, Debbie Little, and Wendy Cox; Grandchildren, Joseph Patti, Ginger Patti and Joseph Little. Survivors include her Brother, George Dengler; Sister, Blanche Joyce; Daughters, Bonnie (Gerard) Patti and Beverly Enfinger; 19 Grandchildren; 40 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Services will be held at Faith Chapel South, 1100 Beverly Parkway in Pensacola on Saturday December 11, 2021. Viewing for Family will be at 9:30 A.M. and at 10:00 A.M. for all others. Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Gerard Patti, Sr. will be officiating. Burial service will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Holy Cross Cemetery 1300 E. Hayes Street, Pensacola. Pallbearers will be Jason Livingston, Gerard Patti, Jr., Isreal Patti, Issac Patti, Johnathan Patti, and Chris Poff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Enfinger and Michael Steadman. In lieu of flowers, Eleanor would have wanted you to keep her family in your prayers. She would have also wanted all of us to come together and make sure that her "Darling Brandon" is looked after. Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, is entrusted with arrangements. You may express condolences online at www.fcfhs.com.
