Dot Moore Bridges 1931-2012 Dot Moore Bridges passed away following a short illness on January 8, 2012 in Hoover, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Earl Moore; her siblings, Alice Caldwell, Evelyn Kenney, and Ethan Moore; and her husband of 58 years, Glover Bridges. She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda (David) Osborne of Hoover, Alabama, and Allison (Will) Price of Niceville, Florida, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi on June 14, 1931, Dot met her husband while a student at East Mississippi Junior College and married in 1951. They raised their daughters in Pensacola, where they were active members of Olive Baptist Church. Dot used her gifts of service and hospitality throughout her life, having volunteered at her children's schools and at her church in many capacities from children's ministry to senior adult Sunday School. Dot’s kindness and sincerity will be missed by many. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, at Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Traylor and Dr. Stan Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Osborne, Will Price, David Mark Osborne, Jr., Jonathan Osborne, Ross Morgan, and Bobby Cooley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult 6, 9:30 a.m. Sunday School Department of Olive Baptist Church.
