She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Earl Moore; her siblings, Alice Caldwell, Evelyn Kenney, and Ethan Moore; and her husband of 58 years, Glover Bridges. She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda (David) Osborne of Hoover, Alabama, and Allison (Will) Price of Niceville, Florida, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi on June 14, 1931, Dot met her husband while a student at East Mississippi Junior College and married in 1951. Dot’s kindness and sincerity will be missed by many. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, at Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Traylor and Dr. Stan Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Osborne, Will Price, David Mark Osborne, Jr., Jonathan Osborne, Ross Morgan, and Bobby Cooley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult 6, 9:30 a.m. Sunday School Department of Olive Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Olive Baptist Church, Ministry Village (1836 Olive Road, Pensacola, FL 32514), or visit their web site at http://www.ministryvillage.org/), or to the American Cancer Society.
