Dan Clark Valdez, age 46 of Pensacola, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 30, 2011 with his wife by his side. Dan was of the Catholic faith. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service. He was a Veteran of Desert Storm, Iraq Freedom and Afghanistan Conflict. He was a native of Hawaii and has been a resident of Pensacola for the past 11 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Laura B. Valdez; two sons, Kainoa and Kealoi; two daughters, Rose and Chelsea; granddaughter, Raniyah; parents, Norma and Arthur Valdez; grandmother, Dionisia Babila; sister, Renee Scott; two brothers, Terry Valdez and Bradley Valdez; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice in Dan’s memory. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with a Navy Chaplain officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
