Curtis Phillip Cook

Curtis Phillip Cook, a resident of Cantonment, Florida passed away on March 15, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born on June 26, 1948 in Century, Florida to Phillip Cook and Lillian Cook (Hoover)Harris. He graduated from Chumuckla High School in 1967. Curtis joined the US Army in 1969 serving until 1971 as an E5/ SP5. He worked at International Paper from 1971 until 2005. Curtis enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, wood working, basketball and working with his tools. He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Cook; and step-father, Hoover Harris. Curtis is survived by his wife, Cathy Cook; his children Vicky (Buffy) Cook, Danna (Lonnie) Cobb, Jimmy (April) T. Waldrop, Cassy (Gordon) Gardner, Phillip (Kristi) Cook, Kolby (Brittany) Cook, Ryan Booth, Kristen Booth; mother, Lillian Jordan Cook Harris; sisters, Carol (Ron) Bryant; Glenda Davidson; along with 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Heritage Baptist Church in Cantonment, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be: Will Coley, Matthew Cook, Randell Bell, Tony Bell, Jimmy Waldrop, Scott Bryant.
