    Betty Louise Nason

    February 24, 1933 - February 15, 2022

    Betty Louise Nason, 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Betty was born on February 24, 1933 in Heavener, Oklahoma. She moved to San Diego, California as a young child. Betty met and married Normie in San Diego at age 17. Betty moved to Pensacola in 1961, after moving around the United States during 20 years of being a Navy wife. Betty retired from Sears’s warehouse with over 25 years of service. Betty loved the outdoors and going on long walks all her life. She loved all animals, and always made sure they were well fed. Betty also enjoyed going on new adventures with Paula and Shannon. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, giving, family driven, wife, mother, grammy and friend. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Eastleena Billings and Ray Cruse; stepdad, Chester Billings; husband of 59 years, Norman Nason; her granddaughter, Renee Kidney; brother, Jack Cruse; and step-brother, James Billings. Betty is survived by her children, David Nason and Paula (Boo) Smith; granddaughters, Melissa Nason and Shannon (Howard) Kidney-Harvell; great-grandchildren, Kourtlyn Nason, Taelin Nason, and Ayden Nason; four great-great grandchildren; and her brother, Marshall (Jean) Billings. The Memorial Service will be held on April 5, 2022, 11:30 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery. Please meet at the Warrington location of Olive Road Baptist Church located at 103 W. Winthrop Avenue at 11:00 a.m. We will be led by procession to the Memorial Service. Immediately after the service, we will meet at Sonny’s BBQ located at 630 N. Navy Blvd. Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, is entrusted with arrangements. You may express condolences online at www.fcfhs.com.
