Arvie Jean Jones

January 19, 1932 - February 4, 2022

Arvie Jean Jones passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, in Pensacola, FL. She was born in Canoe, AL, and moved to Pensacola at age 8. She married Alton Jones, Jr., in 1948, and raised three children of their own and her best friend’s daughter from age 4. She cared for and loved many other children through the years that she babysat. She was a life long member of Bethel Baptist Church. Arvie was preceded in death by her husband, William Alton Jones, Jr. Arvie is survived by her son, Stephen (Brenda) Jones; daughter, Barbara Brown; son, Andy (Marti) Jones; daughter, Teresa Routh (John); sister, Lizzie Maxine Ross; 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 PM. Reverend Wayne Cooper will be officiating. Interment will be at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Jones, Joseph Jones, Lucas Jones, Drew Jones, Bo Glass, and Aiden Glass. Honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Kaechele, Alex Routh and Wesley Routh. Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, is entrusted with arrangements.
