Anne Smith Miller
January 3, 1914 - September 22, 2012
The most vivacious 98 year old who ever lived! A most delightful and wonderful lady full of love for children, dogs, her Jimmie and church family at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. A true servant of the Lord! Aveon Anne Smith was born in South Charleston, West Virginia and quietly returned to her Lord Jesus Christ on September 22, 2012 after a short illness. Anne’s high school memoirs book recalls her as the “cheerleader, athlete and all around girl; Anne’s given every sport a whirl.” She loved golf and played for many years. Anne met the love of her life, James (Jimmie) Miller and married him in 1936. With Jimmie she was a devoted wife for 36 years. Jimmie passed in 1972. They never had children but instead, Anne devoted her time to others, their children and her church family. Due to her love of children, Anne requested donations be made in lieu of flowers to The Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches. The organization’s values were Anne’s values: Children first! Integrity, Quality, Stewardship and Character. Graveside services will be at the Pine Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery on Wilde Lake Blvd; Pensacola, FL on Thursday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. Please join us to celebrate a life well lived. We will miss you Miss Annie always! FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH is in charge of arrangements. You may express your condolences online at fcfhs.com.
