Alan Loy Gulsby May 29, 1960 – June 5, 2022 Alan “Loy” Gulsby, 62, passed away on June 5, 2022 in Cantonment, Florida. He was born on May 29, 1960 in Martinsville, Virginia to Aubrey Gulsby and Virginia Williams Gulsby. Loy was a 12-year Army Veteran. After serving in the military, he went into the construction industry. He was currently the Site Superintendent for Gulf Coast Industrial at FP&L of Northwest FL. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, movies, cutting his grass, and caring for his cats that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Cecil Gulsby; mother, Virginia Celeste Williams; sister, Glenda Hamilton; brother, Jerry Gulsby; and stepbrother, Dana Emmette. Loy is survived by his wife, Kimberly Gulsby; daughter, Andrea (Jason) Ritter; siblings, Donna (Thomas) Watters and Steve (Kathy) Gulsby; stepmother, Mary Mott; stepsister, Sherilan (Richard) Lane; in-laws, Roger and Arlene Countryman and family; an aunt; nieces; nephews; and cousins. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Faith Chapel North. He was loved and respected by many friends and will truly be missed.
