William H. Geiger

William Henry Geiger Jr., born in San Francisco CA on September 18,1937, was the only child to Juanita Rahm and William H. Geiger Sr. He was "Bill" to everyone except his mother, to whom he was "Hank". He was baptized Lutheran on Nov 28, 1937. He graduated from the prestigious Howe Military School around 1956. He won Equestrian Show Jumping medals with his horse Cricket in his teens. He was a jazz musician who played drums, bongos and organ. His singing voice nearly parallels Frank Sinatra’s. He married Kathleen Theresa Anne Keefe on October 16, 1965 and had two sons, William III and Richard Justin Geiger, born in 1966 and 1967 respectively. From having domiciled in Toledo OH and Greater Chicago IL, the family settled in Pensacola FL in 1995, mainly for the love of the beaches. Kathy passed away in 2005. In 2008, Bill’s life as a widower was rekindled when he married a fellow long-time Pensacola resident, Cereza “Ched” Vital DeGuzman, and embraced her four children, Corazon “Leiah” DeGuzman Dotlich, Camille DeGuzman Vargas, Mark DeGuzman and Marlo DeGuzman; along with their lovely offsprings. He and Ched blissfully stayed together until his untimely demise. His technical knowledge was ahead of his time. He designed telecommunications systems; and programmed intricate data equipment and technical processing flows for the US Postal Service, Helen Curtis, Ameritech, Brisch’s and medium sized Call Centers. He held Department of Defense Contracting jobs around the globe, with extended stays in England, Argentina, and Israel. In the past 13.5 years, he served as CEO/ IT Specialist at ROCKWELL ACCOUNTING LLC, which he co-managed with his wife Ched, a retired college instructor and BS in Business Economics graduate of the University of the Philippines and Master of Accountancy graduation candidate at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. They also jointly managed their rental and property development projects in greater Pensacola. His final fulfilment days were spent with his most loving son, Richard J Geiger, a Paypal Financial-IT Network Executive, proudly following his father’s fooststeps; and Ched’s ever doting children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Cereza “Ched” Geiger, and all of their joint children and grandchildren: son Richard and his wife Laura Geiger, a talented Arts Teacher, with their two sons, Kenneth and Lucas; stepchildren Corazon “Leiah” DeGuzman Dotlich, ARNP at West FL Hospital, along with her three children Alexandra, Caleb and Isabella; Camillee DeGuzman Vargas, BS in Legal Studies & LPN, along with her devoted husband Neil Albia Vargas, a Dialysis RN in TX; US Navy Lt. Cmdr. Mark DeGuzman, with his wife Amber DeGuzman, MS in Public Hygiene, and their children Mark Enzo and Miura; and Marlo DeGuzman, a Lic.
