Todd Blaine Jargowsky

Todd Blaine Jargowsky, Sr., age 64, Master Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy (Ret.), of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on November 30, 2023. Todd was born on May 19, 1959, in Millville, New Jersey to Shirley Rebecca Smith and Kenneth Jargowsky Sr. PRCM (AW/FPJ) Jargowsky was a veteran of the United States Navy that served honorably for 30 years of dedicated service to his country. He was a highly decorated Master Chief Petty Officer that was awarded a Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Medal. Master Chief Jargowsky’s distinguished accomplishments included working as a Special Operations Parachute Rigger for Navy Seal Teams 4 and 5, Master Naval Parachutist, and Aviation Water Survival Instructor. He served his country at duty stations in Lakehurst, NJ (NATTC); Attack Squadron 34 NAS Oceana, VA; Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC) NAS Pensacola FL; SEAL Team 5, NAB Coronado, CA; EOD T&EU1, NS Pearl Harbor, HI; Seal Team 4, NAB Little Creek, VA; and the Naval Survival Training Institute (NSTI) and Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC) Pensacola, FL. One of Todds highlights and proudest moments in his career was serving on board the “Big John” CV-67 USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier in 1979 as a parachute rigger with his big brother Ken who was an F-14 pilot on the ship. Todd enjoyed sharing his love for life by hosting many get-togethers with his friends and family that included poker games and cookouts. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast that enjoyed cross-country adventures with his wife, son, and closest friends. Todd was an avid fisherman and taught his family how to scuba dive. He had a passion for NASCAR and took his family to one of his favorite NASCAR races at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. Philip “Jim” Commander (PJ) his stepfather was one of the most influential people in his life. Todd is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Jargowsky, Sr.; Shirley R. (Smith) Commander; and stepfather Philip “Jim” Commander; brothers, Kenneth Jr. and John Garrett Jargowsky. Todd is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dianne Margaret Jargowsky; children Todd Jr. (Lauren), Jameson, and Shawn Jargowsky; grandchildren Matthew, Lila, and Dylan Jargowsky; and stepbrothers James (Brenda) Commander, Jeff Commander, and Jock Commander. His beloved dog Chief and cat Harley were special to him and always in his heart. Todd will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida.
