Susan Marie Meredith Hein

Susan Meredith Hein, 65, wife of Robin Hein, Pensacola, Florida, went into Jesus' arms, March 20, 2021, at home in her sleep. She was born June 08, 1955, in Pensacola, Florida, at Baptist Maternity Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John Wilmer Meredith and Avey Marie Meredith. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Lutheran Church of The Resurrection, Pensacola, Florida. As you are here today to witness, she is attending her final service at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Yes, Susan was a Lutheran! Susan graduated from Redeemer Lutheran School, Bellview Middle School, and Escambia High School in 1973. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Robin, in November 1973. She loved her family, both biological and church, she loved all flowers, especially roses, David Winter Cottages, Waterford Crystal, but most of all, she loved her Robin. She was a lifetime Customer Service person who was known as, “The Smiling Lady!” Her smile could light up a room and put warmth into everyone’s hearts. She supported her husband, Robin, through 24 years in the military seeing many things and making enumerable memories. She lived in Warner Robins, Georgia, for 5 years, Bossier City, Louisiana, for 5 years, Grand Forks, North Dakota, for 3 years, and the United Kingdom, for 11 years. Yes, as you might imagine, that’s where she developed her love for David Winter Cottages and Waterford Crystal. She attended, yes, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, in Cambridge, England. She retired from the military, as a military wife, in 1997, and moved with Robin to Pensacola, Florida. She made a new house a home in 1999, where every room, nook, and cranny, was touched by her love. She worked for the McKenzie and Taylor Law firm for 12 years, until an illness made her stop working. She supported her church in the only way she could, as a counter. She lived at home for the remainder of her life, making Robin the happiest man alive. She is survived by her husband Robin, two sisters Cheryl and Janet, and a host of friends and family by choice. She loved all of us! Her viewing will be held at 1130 AM followed by a service at 1230, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 6305 North Blue Angel Parkway, Pensacola, Florida, 32526. She will be interned at Barrancas National Cemetery following the service. She was predeceased in going into Jesus Hands, by her father John Wilmer Meredith and mother Avey Marie Meredith.
