Mary Shawn Marche Henning Loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Shawn Marche Henning, 67, of Pensacola Florida, born November 1st, 1956, passed away at home in the early morning hours of November 24, 2023. Loving, passionate, intelligent, and beautiful. Shawn’s boundless love for her husband, five children, three grandchildren and her extended family and friends was immeasurable and her greatest legacy. There were endless hugs and kisses and “I love yous” for all of her loved ones to remember and cherish. She was enthusiastic about and savored traveling the world as a Navy wife, supporting her husband, and taking care of her children and making friends; she loved a good adventure. Shawn had many academic and professional accomplishments and accolades during her life; earning her Bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude, producing award winning environmental programs, presentations and grants for the Escambia County Neighborhood and Environmental Services Department, and elected President of the Pensacola Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association with awards for Public Service Presentations and Financial management. She also had a flair for the dramatic and loved theater, especially musicals. Over the years she performed with and supported the Pensacola Little Theater in both on-stage and off-stage roles. Her truest calling though was her family and especially her grandchildren who she cherished with all her heart and loved spending time with. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles “Spike” Henning III; her children Jennifer Kae Sheffield and husband Vic, Martyn Henning and wife Karen, Christopher Schnatz, Charles “Charlie" Henning IV and wife Caitlyn, and Dustin “Dusty” Henning; her much-adored grandchildren Bella, Alex, and Morgan Henning; her sister Jennifer Marche Kensler and husband Ray, and her Uncle Curtis Creighton. Shawn was preceded in death by her parents Marilyn Creighton & Marion Marche, brother Kevin Marche, father-in-law Charles H. Henning II, and mother-in-law Floriene Henning. The Celebration of Shawn Henning’s Life will be Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Faith Chapel South, 100 Beverly Pkwy Pensacola, FL. Visitation prior to the service begins at 2pm, Service at 3pm with a reception immediately following.
