Shannon Ellen Durell McGhee, born November 14, 1984, departed her earthly home on April 3, 2025, in Pensacola, FL. Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe Sr and Letha McGhee, grandfather, Jack VanOrd, Sr; aunts, Linda Shipps, Sybil Smedley and Veronica McGhee; uncle, Joe McGhee Jr.; cousins, Isaac Wessel, Wade Steverson, Kevin Shipps and Koen Nguyen. She is survived by her children, Anastasia Budianto, Avalynn and Elijah McGhee; her parents, Frederick and Carol McGhee; brothers, Lawrence (Leah) and Thomas McGhee; nieces, Gabina, Jenni, Kinsley and Ruby; nephews, Junior and Anthony; grandmother, Susan VanOrd; grandparents, James and Mary Durell; uncles, Kenneth McGhee, Sr, Charles Durell, James Johnson, Timothy Crawford and Jack VanOrd Jr.; aunts, Sandra Steverson, Patricia Wessel, Tonya Flynn, Rhonda Taylor, Lynda Howell, Belinda Matero, Linda Nemes, Grace Phillips and Joanne Calvin; her previous husband, Leo Budianto, and a multitude of cousins and extended family members as she was a Tribal Member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Funeral Services officiated by Pastor William Hoynacki will be Thursday April 10, 2025, with visitation at 12:00 PM, commencement to follow at 1:00 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola FL. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St., Pensacola, FL. Pallbearers will be Nickalous McGhee, Kenneth McGhee, Jr, Craig Seymour, John Franklin, Jr., Chad Smedley and Jamie Knorr. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Dockham and all of Shannon’s cousins. Shannon’s family would like to thank the staff and coworkers of Sacred Heart Hospital 2E/2W, staff and coworkers at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, family and church members of the former Crown Church and New Hope Apostolic Church, staff, faculty, and students of East Hill Christian School and Florida State University, and the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, for all of their unwavering love and support during this very difficult time. They are all a true blessing. A gathering of friends and family for dinner will be held immediately following the service at The Fraternal Order of Eagle Lodge, located at 105 Kenmore Rd. Pensacola, FL.
