Shane David Roberts

Shane David Roberts, 61, of Milton, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Shane was born on August 1, 1960, in Barre, Vermont. He grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Alvirne High School in Hudson. Shane served in the U. S. Army from 1982 to 1986 and was stationed in South Korea where he accepted the Lord as his personal savior on Christmas Eve, 1983. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Shane lived in California for ten years. He dedicated much of his time to work with the youth group at Faith Baptist Church in Canoga Park. He relocated to New Hampshire in 1995 and soon after met his wife, Karen. They were married on August 2, 1997. In 2002, the family moved to Hillsboro, NH where they became members of Hillsboro Baptist Church. Shane and his wife were instrumental in the founding of Hillsboro Christian School where he served on the School Board. In 2015, the family decided to relocate to sunny Pensacola, FL. Shane found employment at Abeka Books on the campus of Pensacola Christian College and became members of Campus Church. While employed, he appreciated the opportunity to interact with and encourage college students with scripture and godly advice. Shane's interest in alternative medicine led him to study at Clayton College of Natural Health where he received his master’s degree. He loved reading his Bible daily and memorizing and sharing his love for scripture with family and friends. He liked spending time outdoors at the beach, mountains, taking hikes, visiting waterfalls, and practicing the art of Kung Fu. Many of his favorite pastimes were sipping coffee on the back patio and watching the New England Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics games. Shane is survived by his wife Karen of Milton, FL, his three sons, Lucas, Daniel, and Shane Jr., and his daughter April; his stepson Joseph Leduc (and his wife, Stephanie), his stepdaughter Jaclyn Leduc; his grandson Tucker Leduc; his mother Carol Roberts (and her husband, John); his father Harry Roberts (and his wife, Sandy); his sisters, Tracy and Beth; several cousins, nieces, and nephew. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm. Services will be held at the Mullenix Chapel, Pensacola Christian College, Rawson Lane, Pensacola, FL 32503. In lieu-of-flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Chick Publications tract ministry (chick.com) or Rejoice Radio ministry (rejoice.org).
