Ronald John Pfeiffer

Ronald John Pfeiffer, of Pensacola, went to meet our heavenly Father on December 10, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on October 17, 1947, Ron was a native and resident of Pensacola, FL. He attended Catholic primary schools and was a 1966 graduate of Catholic High School. Along with his schooling, family and loving wife, Ron had instilled in him a devoted faith in the Lord. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, in which he talked of many interesting stories of his time spent overseas. Following his service duty, he returned to his hometown of the Pensacola / Gulf Breeze area. Upon his return, he began a career with Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation. Ron’s knowledge and enjoyment of being handy with repairs and painting led him to another path of employment where Ron worked as a professional painter until his retirement. As a young child, with the common interest of his father, Ron became fascinated with cars. He loved building model cars in his youth and even his teenage years. That love of cars remained with him into his adult life, especially with those “older year models.” He loved and took pride in having a good conversation about the classic cars and being able to look at a car and tell you what year it was made. He was well known to frequently say, “You know cars these days, they’re just not as pretty as they were when I was young.” His interest and talent in wood work was another joy in life for Ron. Being a perfectionist, he was not one to be rushed, yet his end results were always of high quality. He took much pride in his work. Ron’s most precious joy in life came in 2004 when he met the love of his life, Carol. They shared their love and interests in collecting antique glass, watching birds in their garden, and dancing with each other. They married in 2006 and remained together until her passing in 2021. Ron is preceded in death by his lovely wife Carol Jo Pfeiffer; his parents Herbert J. and Joyce Pfeiffer; his brothers Richard J. Pfeiffer and Robert J. Pfeiffer; his grandparents, as well as many aunts and uncles. Ron is survived by his baby sister Kathryn J. Kea (Randy); brothers Thomas J. Pfeiffer, Stephen J. Pfeiffer and David J. Pfeiffer (Jacquie); an uncle Philip A. Pfeiffer; an aunt Mary Jo Pfeiffer; step-sons David Ritchie (Therese) and Mike Kimbrell (Teresa); and step-daughter Cathy McCullough (Robert). Along with many nieces and nephews, Ron was also blessed and is survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren through his marriage. The funeral service will be held on December 18, 2024 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Pkwy. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am with the service to begin at 9:30 am with Father Pathe celebrant. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola. Pallbearers will be David Ritchie, Justin Ritchie, Bradley Ritchie, Chase Pewitt, Randy Kea, Dayton Kea, Josh Kea, Hunter Pfeiffer and James Pfeiffer. Special thanks to his primary care physician, Dr. Scott Blanchard, and all of those who cared for Ron at Windermere Memory Care Center and Emerald Coast Hospice through his battle with dementia. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ron may be made to Operation Patriot Support, www.operationpatriotsupport.org.
