Reathe Mae Robinson

Reathe Mae Johnston Kimble Robinson, age 90, of Pensacola, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2012. She was a native of the Brookhaven, MS area. Shortly after her first marriage to Theodore Kimble, they moved to Baton Rouge, LA for job opportunities, and she was a faithful wife and Mother to her two sons. In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed fishing trips with the family as well as working together to raise their large garden. After the untimely death of her first husband, she began working as a sales clerk for J.C. Penney Store in the fabric department; however most of her years were working in ready-made draperies. She retired in 1991 at the age of 70 after 30 years of service. In 1967 she remarried and, in 1974 she relocated to Pensacola to be near one of her sons. Reathe came to know Christ as her personal Savior, and her life reflected her faith. Maw Maw Robbie, as she was affectionately called, derived much pleasure in sewing and doing other types of handwork for her family and friends. She loved to serve the Body of Christ, and her home was always open to keep missionaries or visiting preachers. Her family loved her Sunday dinners, and she had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. Reathe had the gift of helps, which was a blessing at Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, LA and later at Liberty Church in Pensacola and for the past seven years at Charity Chapel. Maw Maw Robbie was greatly loved by both family and friends, and she will be greatly missed. However our hearts are comforted in knowing that she is now in her Heavenly Home with the Lord she loved and served so faithfully. She is survived by son Ray Kimble and wife Linda, son Lester Kimble and wife Ellen; seven grandchildren-Dennis Kimble, Darlene Thomas, Dawn Hunter, Dana Hammac, Mary Ann Thompson, Joey Kimble and James Kimble; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband James Theodore Kimble; second husband Robbie Robinson; father Jack Johnston; mother Emma Johnston; brothers Lee Johnston, Jeff Johnston, and Clifton Johnston; sisters Mae King, Lula Hall, Emma Hall, and Letha Freeman; and great-grandson Timothy Kimble. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2012 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Charity Chapel with Reverend Jerry Ireland officiating. A private family burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Covenant Hospice.
