Randall Lynn Mayne

Randall (Randy) L. Mayne of Navarre Florida died Saturday October 16th at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida after an extended battle with cancer (not Covid). Randy grew up in Pensacola, Florida before leaving to serve his country as a radar tracker in the US Air Force where he displayed proficiency on systems that far outpaced his peers. After leaving the service Randy returned home and worked for a military contractor in Ft Walton Beach, Florida before moving on to establish his own business. Randy owned and operated WC Alloys (a metal recycling company) before opening AWCA Auto Salvage and Recycling along Highway 98 in Midway. It is there that most of our community will remember Randy, as he worked alongside his wife and children and made lifelong friendships with other business owners, customers, and local law enforcement. He was known for his strong sense of community and his fierce dedication to constitutional rights. Unfortunately, this led to the closure of his business when he exhausted himself financially pursuing a legal battle to defend his customers’ right to privacy. Of course that didn’t stop Randy from continuing to serve our area operating tow trucks for local companies and continuing to stand up for his country and our rights through his participation in local organizations. Randy was never happier than when he was cooking or grilling a large meal for friends and family. He loved listening to music and riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandsons. And while his loss is felt deeply by those that loved him, Randy had already survived death seven times by the end and was grateful for the time he was given and ready for the next step in his journey. He is survived by his parents Howard and Sandra Mayne, his four siblings and their families, his wife Renee Mayne, his daughter Jenna, his daughter Rebecca and her family, and his son Jamison, father of his beloved grandsons Jason and Camden. Services will be held at Faith Chapel at 100 Beverly Pkwy Pensacola Florida on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 and will include visitation from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM followed immediately by the service before Randy is laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family invites all those that would like to say goodbye to attend, or to drop by The Country Gym in Midway 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM that evening to participate in his Celebration of Life.
