Pearl Louise Bryant

Pearl Louise Bryant 1945-2018 Pearl Louise Ellis Bryant was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on July 1, 1945. She was a birthday present to Frances Louise Muchmore, her mother. She went home to be with her Lord on Sunday afternoon, May 20, 2018. Pearl graduated from Buckner Children’s Home, in Dallas, Texas. During her time there she developed a deep love of reading. That love remained with her throughout the rest of her life. She would often reread her favorite books many times. She considered them to be close friends. After Graduation she found herself in Pensacola, Florida as a house keeper to a newly widowed man and his three young sons. Earl and his sons, Red, David and Donald had just lost a wife and mother in a tragic accident and needed a caregiver. In a short time, Earl and Pearl were married. The family added two more children when Wayne and Mary were born. Pearl loved planning family dinners and cooking their favorite meals. She fried more fish than most people could even imagine. When she thought she might be expecting Mary she told Earl that she was either pregnant or one of the fish had come back to life and was flouncing around. Luckily, she was expecting. Pearl was by Earl’s side for 48 years. They did everything together: baked cinnamon rolls, made cast nets, camped out, raised their children and spoiled all of their grandchildren with a love that only grandparents have. Pearl loved teaching children and spent many years teaching Sunday School and Junior Church. She loved watching their eyes light up as she told them Bible stories. Her most favorite book of all was her Bible and she read through it many times, usually so Earl could hear it as his eye sight started deteriorating. She was a true prayer warrior. Earl and Pearl kept a long list of people that they prayed for daily. If she told you that she called your name out in prayer be assured that she did. When Pearl went home to be with her Lord she left a void in her family. Her family is finding peace knowing that she is singing among the angels and that she is once again with Earl. She will truly be missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Glen Anderson will be officiating.
