Mary Frances Morgan

Mary Francis Morgan, age 97, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023, due to an arterial condition resulting in fluid retention making breathing difficult. She was born November 18, 1925 in Honoraville, Alabama to Zackrey and Maude Morgan Daniel. She is survived by her two sons, Vincent and Jeffrey Santillo, and their wives Beverly and Patricia. Mary loved her house and wanted visitors to enjoy it also. Mary delighted in having her grand-children and lately, great grand-children visit her. She kept her Christmas tree and decorations up all year for their amusement. She has a witch's corner for Halloween, a corner for her late husband, "Bud" with many of his war-remembrances. Mary loved animals and had a rooster section, owls and other birds around the lake she lives on. She also has a robotic kitty cat that meows and wants to be scratched. For the older visitors, she has many sets of dishes and bottles of everything, because of their color and designs to admire. She is survived by 7 grandchildren; Jamie, Matthew (Dr. Leah Samson), Gregory (Anna Fiordilino-Santillo), Luke (Emily), Marisa (Pete), Andrew (Val), and Elizabeth. Great grandchildren: Tye, Grant, Daria, Davis, Avery, Maya Francis, and Evan. Mary Francis was predeceased by her brother, Grealing and her sister, Catherine. Other survivors include her 3 nieces, Linda Alford, Judy Bailey, and Sandra Whiddon. Mary was much younger than her brother and sister and enjoyed being with her cousins in the big city of Montgomery, Alabama. She worked at many jobs to make a living. She would always say "Do what's right and do what's good". Her last job was taking care of her husband, Lucian "Bud" Morgan, a Marine and survivor of Pearl Harbor and islands needed to reach Japan. Bud had Mesothelioma, and Mary comforted and nursed him for 10 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emerald Coast Hospice, 511 North 12th Ave., Suite B, Pensacola, FL 32504, or a favorite charity of your choice. Visitation services will be Monday, April 17, 2023, at 11:30am at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South (100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, Florida 32505). Funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
